Tag Book

This "Wish" tag book was made by creating 5 separate tags and tying them together with fabric ribbon. It is intended for the recipient to write personal wishes on each tag...A meaningful

gift that conveys how much you care about a person’s hopes

and dreams.

To make one:

1. Choose your desired paper, cut, and glue to each tag.

2. Stamp each tag with your favorite stamps.

3. Embellish with additional papers and stickers.

4. Add lace and buttons.

5. Tie the tags together with ribbon and attach a clip.

Alice in Wonderland

Decorator tag and vintage watch~ Graphics from Crafty Secrets.

Key from K and Company. This tag was made simply by using a graphic sheet and cutting it out, punching a hole at the top and putting curly seam binding through it to hang the tag. Then, I added glitter to the tag.

For the vintage watch, I adhered all graphics with gel medium, added a flower and faux pearls with glue, and added glitter so that it would sparkle.

To create these, I simply put glue on the clothespins and added glitter. Once it dried, I added the teapot graphics that I had printed and cut out. Then, the flowers were glued on and I added glitter for some extra sparkle.

Decorator Tag with holder and clothespin~Images from Crafty Secrets. I created the holder by cutting a cardboard paper towel holder in half, flattening it with my hand, and gluing it shut at the bottom. That created a pocket to place my tag inside and is very cute for giving as a gift.

Kitchen Inspiration

There are many places to find inspiration--and I find mine right in my kitchen~Here is a baker's rack from the French Quarter in New Orleans~

I ran off a favorite design from The Graphics Fairy onto fabric~

I wrapped it around placemats for a splash of color!

ATC

This ATC (Artist Trading Card) was created on cardboard with scrapbook paper and burlap. Scrapbook paper by My Mind's Eye. Ephemera and hinge clip by Tim Holtz.

I simply glued burlap to a 3.5" X 2.5" card and then adhered the stickers and ephemera to it. Then, I attached the clip.

Fresh Herbs

A canning jar of fresh rosemary provides a wonderful gift~

Simply cut a piece of burlap, attach it, and add a custom tag. Tie a piece of twine around it.

Voila! A gift for someone who loves to cook. The recipient will adore the aroma of fresh herbs. Scrapbook paper for tag from The Paper Studio.

Remembrance Piece--Precious Memories

This Remembrance Piece was created to commemorate my friend Kim's beloved father...

I used a vintage pocket watch, dangling embellishments, attached the photo inside with gel medium, and glittered both the inside and outside of the piece. Additional embellishments were attached to the outside with hot glue. Keys by 7 Gypsies.

Journal stamped with a stamp by Stampabilities

To alter this journal, I simply stamped it first and then glued images and embellishments on it. Then, I tied curly seam binding around it so that it makes a lovely gift.

This journal is currently on display in an art gallery. To create it, I used fabric that I stenciled with gesso using a doily as the template. It includes fibers, as well as twigs from a real bird's nest and other embellishments. Prima Flower. Batik fabric: Hoffman Industries; also includes raw soy silk. Cheesecloth by Dritz. All items were simply glued to the journal.

This journal is a custom order for one of my clients.

First, I cut out scrapbook paper and glued it to the front of the journal. Then, all other embellishments were glue to the surface.

Natural Excelsior Moss/American Moss/Fiberex

To create this piece, I covered the front of the mug with music paper. I adhered it using gel medium. Then, I added embellishments, including cheesecloth, lace, flowers, and faux pearls. I placed moss inside the mug and added the egg.

The egg was created by using music paper that I tore into random pieces and adhered to a plastic Easter egg with gel medium. (This part is time-consuming.) Then, I glued the lace and flower to the egg.

Finally, I tied curly seam binding to the handle of the mug. Voila! All done!

Faux Kaleidoscope

First I created this image with graphics from Dezinaworld.

Made from a paper towel holder~The bottom portion was cut off about 1/4 of an inch wide...then, slid back onto the piece after the graphics were glued on.

I simply spray painted the basket and let it dry overnight. Then, I adhered the graphics to it with gel medium. I attached burlap and coffee-stained cheesecloth and simply attached a clothespin that I had stamped.
